Train as a FertilityCare Professional

Train to teach the Creighton Model and support women and couples in caring for their reproductive health, from a perspective that brings together science, human dignity and integral health.

Instructor and participants during an educational program classroom session.

Practitioner training prepares people committed to reproductive health to teach the Creighton Model, a standardized system for observing and recording menstrual-cycle biomarkers. Through educational phases, supervised practice and evaluation, trainees develop the skills to support women and couples with rigor, closeness and respect.

Courses are organized every one to two years by different Centers and certified, authorized instructors. They are validated by the FertilityCare Centers Latin America network, though they are not organized directly by FCCLA — each cohort sets its own dates, venue, format, requirements and costs.

Why train

Latin America needs more professionals able to teach the Creighton Model and support women and couples with rigor, humanity and respect.

Training as a Practitioner means joining a network that offers women and couples a different way to care for their reproductive health: grounded in knowledge of the cycle, the search for causes, and respect for every person's dignity. If you work in health, education or the behavioral sciences — or feel called to support others — there's a place for you.

How the training is structured

Practitioner training is taught in Spanish over 13 months: two in-person educational phases and two supervised practice periods in the student’s home city, with remote supervision and an on-site visit. Each edition’s brochure explains its admission and assessment requirements.

The programs described in the brochures are AAFCP-accredited. Training prepares students to become candidates for its certification process, subject to the academy’s requirements.

01

Initial educational phase

Immersion in the system's foundations, its standardized tools and its teaching approach.

02

First supervised practice

Trainees begin teaching under instructor guidance, with feedback on case management.

03

Advanced educational phase

Deeper focus on complex cases, collaboration with other professionals, and the ethical dimension of the service.

04

Second supervised practice

Consolidating the ability to teach, support and document cases with greater autonomy.

05

Final evaluation

Written, oral or practical components that verify knowledge, skills and practice criteria.

06

Certification or affiliation

The following steps vary by program: certificate of completion, eligibility for certification, certification, or access to the professional network.

Some programs also include an on-site supervision or evaluation visit. Not every organizer uses the same names for these stages, but across the Creighton Model ecosystem they frequently appear under the abbreviations EPI, EPII, SPI and SPII.

Who can apply?

Programs are usually aimed at people with a strong motivation to serve, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to support women and couples through sensitive processes: health professionals, behavioral scientists, social scientists, educators, nurses, or people with experience in human, family or community support. Specific requirements vary by venue, organizer, country and local law — each cohort spells them out.

Frequently asked questions

Does the training make me a NaPro physician?

No. Practitioner training qualifies you to teach and support the use of the Creighton Model. Medical training in NaProTECHNOLOGY follows specific tracks for clinical professionals.

Do all courses have the same duration?

Not necessarily. Duration varies by program and venue — generally several months combining study phases, supervised practice and a final evaluation.

Do I need to be a health professional?

It depends on the cohort. Many programs accept profiles from health, education, social sciences, behavioral sciences or other fields, evaluated individually.

What costs should I consider?

Besides tuition, there may be costs for application, materials, supervision, certification, affiliation, travel or shipping of materials. Each cohort details its own costs.
